This portrait was a personal project which was accepted by the Essex Open Exhibition at the Beecroft Gallery in Southend-on-Sea and sold at a later date to a private buyer.

The image was created on peach coloured textured pastel board, using hard pastels to render the initial drawing and progressing to very soft handmade pastels in order to build up the textures in the hare’s coat.
