A flower portrait started at a demo/workshop which was subsequently completed at the studio.  The canvas was  previously prepared with a texture paste to which was added a couple of coats of  light orange as a base.  Heavy body acrylics were used neat from the tube to give a vibrant burst of colour,  foliage was added in the foreground and also the background, albeit diffused shapes.

The image was extended around the edges of the canvas to had further depth to the portrait.
