This work was produced by a teenage student, at my studio, as part of their GCSE studies. It was based on Salvador Dali’s oil painting titled ‘Ship with butterfly sails’ and depicts rhythm both in the butterflies and the movement of the sea.

Stabilo Carbothello pastel pencils were used on Daler Rowney Ingres paper in blue.

The pastel was completed later at the student’s home.
