This pastel commission of the family dogs, Daisy and Penny, was produced for my client’s son as a surprise 21st birthday present.  A salmon coloured pastel board was used with a simple blend of orange hues for the background and the subjects were produced in both soft and hard pastels.  Daisy the West Highland Terrier is a rescue dog and has a withered right ear.

Just a line to let you know that my son loved the painting.  I think it is a very original present for a 21st birthday.  It is hanging in our dining room as it is too nice to be put in a bedroom.
